Best OSRS Private Servers 2027 (Preview)

This is a 2027 preview, written in October 2026. It covers Old School RuneScape private servers listed on RuneRank today and will be updated as 2027 approaches. We are not predicting next year's winners — we are showing what is active now and how to choose.
What counts as an OSRS private server?
An OSRS RSPS recreates Old School RuneScape: the classic combat, skills and map, usually with faster experience rates and some custom additions. Servers describe themselves by revision — the game data version they are based on. Higher revisions such as 240 or 241 include more recent official content like newer bosses and Sailing; older bases such as 317 often have the OSRS look added on top.
OSRS servers active on RuneRank
From current listings (descriptions are the servers' own):
- Oakhaven — semi-custom OSRS from a veteran team, built around a long-lasting economy. Top of RuneRank's monthly votes for much of autumn 2026.
- Ragnar — revision 241, Leagues-like, newest content and all raids.
- KIROS — revision 240 with Sailing, all raids, custom perks and prestige.
- Zelus — fresh economy, all three raids, custom bosses and relics.
- Mode PS — revision 240 OSRS server.

How to compare OSRS servers
- Revision and content. Check whether raids (Chambers of Xeric, Theatre of Blood, Tombs of Amascut) and recent bosses are actually in the game, not just promised.
- Experience rates. Some servers aim close to real OSRS, others are much faster. Pick what fits the time you have.
- Game modes. Ironman, group modes and seasonal leagues add replay value.
- RuneLite support. Many OSRS servers ship a RuneLite-based client. See our RuneLite RSPS guide.
- Economy health. Look at how items enter the game and how the store is run.
OSRS RSPS vs the real game
